Hi Everybody!!

I just want to say WOW!! I have not blogged to you much at all the past 6 months. Life has been too amazing.. I’ve been soaking up each moment & when I have been home I have not been around my computer.

I want to thank everyone who continues to support my blog. I have been averaging 7-10 visitors a DAY still… with no recent posts. It just blows me away. So thank you all for still returning to my site to see old posts.. recipes or trick. I will be in the process of changing my site up & I plan to write to you all more often now that life has slowed itself down.

A little update… there is no longer a WildRose Gypsy Facebook page. However please feel free to share posts on your Facebook if you wish.

I will leave you all with a sneak peak wedding photo… T & I got married on June 21. It was such a beautiful day! We loved every minute of it. ❤

Closing Shop

Hi There Ladies… & Gents… Whoever purchased items off my little online shop.

I have to say that for now I will be closing my shop. Reasons being that I just have not had time to focus on it & I do not want to let any of you down by not getting items to you  or not being able to meet what it was you wanted.

I appreciate all the business & support you have given me. I had so much fun in the little time I was opened & I hate to quit on you all… but I have other needs that need to be taken care of & given time over this shop.

The items that I was selling are available online. The ladies who make these items are beyond a joy to deal with. In fact some of us even become email-pals! All you buyers know they quality of their items… so please continue to shop from them. I know I will be!

Bear Creek Collections (bracelets) is a little Canadian-based company. They are sisters who work hard & continue to learn new things to bring only the freshest look to you all! These sisters got it going on… & I have never had a complaint about there product.. instead people say “Give Me More!”

Here is there site:

Shipping is cheap & takes a week! So how can you go wrong!!

Gertie & Baxter is who I dealt with for all my soft goods! These girls rock at producing product. Again, I have not had any complaints regarding there quality. They bring together vibrant colours, with great quality fabric & a whole lot of Fun!

Here is there site:

They are from California, USA but the shipping only took a mere 10 days on average to make it to Alberta.

I still have a few items left, some scarves & headbands.. I hope to post these items soon.

I appreciate you all letting me give this little shop a chance & I really hope to re-open its doors when the timing is right! I made a lot of new friends because of it as well… I mean who doesn’t LOVE new friends!!!

Thanks again All for the love!!

Onto the next adventure…. check back here to see where the roads may lead next…

Luv Ya… WRG   xox

Missing In Action

Hi all my gorgeous friends!!!

I know you have all probably felt that I have fallen off the face of the earth.. But lucky for you all I have not.

I have been a busy busy girl lately & have not taken the time to tend to my readers. For that I am sorry. I have thought of you all quite often though.. if that makes you feel any better. 🙂

Since I have last wrote to you all I have had a lot going on.

1) T proposed to me December 9th! Yup he sure did. We are getting married in June & couldn’t be more excited!!

So with a June wedding that has only given us 6 months to plan. Among this was the month of Christmas… which we took in stride & spent every waking minute with friends & family & soaking up the fresh new change.

2) I had ACL surgery on my knee finally!! During this time I did have time to write as I sat on the couch with a leg in the air for 2-3 weeks. But to be honest not a lot was happening & I wasn’t feeling all that inspired to write.

photo 11

A week after my surgery I was able to hop in & out of wedding dresses with my crutches.. mom, mom in-law & my two best friends (T’s cousins) to help me out! The dress was bought!

T was amazing during my recovery.. the dishes were always done & my water dish was always full. With 1000 stairs in our house I felt slightly limited to… well everything. I could hardly get myself a glass of water the first ten days. So I am happy to be marrying a man that between work, the shop, the house, the meals, the cats & his broken down lady friend he was able to keep up with everything & with non the less a massive smile across his face!

So I dedicate this collage of pictures to him!Image

3) Next my Best friend called to say she & her man were getting married! They have been engaged for some time, & have a beautiful family…. so we always knew the BIG day would happen… I just wasn’t expecting her to say “We are getting married next Friday.. can you do me a favor & be my witness?!” Holy S*&@! Heck Yes I Will!

So T & I got to stand next to our best friends, in a beautiful church at night with the Pastor. Her sister & her guy took pictures & videoed it… so with just 7 people I must say it was quite romantic. I couldn’t be happier for the two.

To top the night off.. we planned a Surprise House Warming for the couple (which they were in on) so we could get their families both over without any suspicion. Little did the parents & neighbors know.. that it was them to be surprised.. when in walked a Bride & Groom! It was such a fabulous night & one that none of us will ever forget!

Love you Guys & Congrats Again C + G!!

First Cake I Have Ever Made!

4) I had my community bridal shower that T’s community threw for me. It was absolutely beautiful & I was showered with so much love, laughter, & gifts. I feel so blessed to be apart of this community.

5) I had to visit this little man… I mean look at those cheeks.. how could I I right!?

So as you can see things have been a little wild in our parts. But all in great fun of course!! I hope to write to you all a lot more from now on!!

Take Care.. Love Ya… WRG

FREEDOM! I couldnt wear jeans or go outside for what felt like forever! So this was my first time doing both after 10 days post-surgery

Women Who Rock

I have been getting very inspired the last year by some amazing women who Rock!! Not only do these lovely ladies know how to have fun… but they also seem extremely down to earth… & they stick true to what they love without getting caught up in the “Hype” of being a “Superstar”… if you know what I mean.

I often hear ladies saddened by the fact that other women judge them before getting to know them. This breaks my heart, because often those who are saddened have the most beautiful souls! My parents always taught my brother & I to never judge anyone until WE..ourselves know them. To this day my brother & I have done this.. & because of this we have met some really great people & made some really good friends. You don’t judge a book by its cover… so why judge a person by theirs…right!?

With this being said… most women are the bad for this. Most men stick together… they look after each other.. they get excited when each other succeed… they have healthy competition.. they have a beer after.. they help each other…

I’m not saying women don’t do the same for each other… I’m just saying a lot of them are quicker to judge then lend a hand. & I feel it can only benefit us to work harder on looking after one another.

How does this work in to my Women Who Rock… Although I don’t know these ladies personally…. I do feel that they are STOKED to be Strong Women.. & they strive to push other women & girls to be strong, have fun & care for one another… That’s why over the next few weeks I will feature two of these women every Thursday on my blog post!

I promise you will be inspired by each of these ladies, just as I am now! From the Mountains to the Ocean & everywhere in between… These Ladies know how to Rock It!

Week 1 – Michelle Parker – Big Mountain Skier

Week 1 – Kaya Turski – Freestyle Skier

Week 2 – Lakey Peterson – Pro Surfer

Week 2 – CoCo Ho – Pro Surfer

Week 3 – Lynz Pastrana – Pro Skateboarder/NitroCircus/Mom

Week 3 – Jolene Van Vugt – MotoCross Racer/NitroCircus

(Photo Credit to those who took these. Pictures are not my own. Thank you to those who share.)

Keep in tune ladies… Let this inspiration set you out to push forward, follow dreams, & be your own Super Star in the making!!

Luv Ya… WRG

So I got a little stressed today thinking this:
1) I need new clothes…BAD!
2) Christmas Is on route
3) Winter Trip Planning

So I checked out my bank account… & almost passed out! HOW the HELL am I going to make this all work…..then BAAMMM!!!

It hit me! This would make for a great blog post!! Cause I know for damn sure I am not the only one that is going through this. So keep looking back for my posts as I attempt to budget “clothes shopping” on my paycheck… but with this being said I will be doing a MASSIVE cleanse of my closet as well.. I mean my go to shirt is well over 5 years old.. & getting rather sad looking, & its just getting darn right depressing & frustrating!!!

My style is slowly changing from boring to Cute & Classy! So I want a FRESH start~!!~ Whose with me!??!

Stay Tuned……

Luv Ya.. WRG

My Be Active one day was getting out to pick up these Massive rocks! They get pretty heavy once your holding them above your head to get them onto the combine.

Pict 2 – Advertising my new headbands that came in for the WildRose Gypsy Store… No one can see them while I’m driving combine.. so thankful for InstaGram to show them off!

New 30 Day Challenge~!!~

Good Morning My Readers!!

How was/is everyone’s summer going…? It’s been absolutely beautiful weather here in Alberta the last little while… almost too hot at times! But luckily most of us (like me) get to enjoy the luxury of the Air Conditioner in the combine.

I was a little sad when the 30 day photo challenge was over.. it was a lot of fun & I enjoyed seeing everyone’s photos. Plus I was excited that I totally rocked the goal!! With this, I decided to start a new 30 day challenge. Its “BE ACTIVE” for 30 days. It is a bit of a tough time right now to make time to workout if you are a farming gal… but I feel it can still be done! Anything counts… instead of waiting in the field for your ride, start walking, or do jumping jacks… or climb up & down the combine. It doesn’t have to be anything big… just something active. Ride your horse, Ride your bike, Walk to the shop, anything is better then nothing!

Here is what I have done so far… I started on September 1st… but you all can join in TODAY 🙂

Day 1 – Went for a 20 minute bike ride… So out of shape!!! But glad I reached my marker. 🙂

Day 2 – Went for a ride.. then took my pony for a walk/jog around the farm yard.

I was looking on Pinterest… (of course… who doesn’t) for some fitness inspiration… & I found a 30 Day Squat Challenge! I was in a good routine of doing squats, to help build up my bad knee, but the last little while I got away from doing them… with this being said.. I am going to start the 30 Day Squat Challenge today.. & work it into my “Be Active!”.

I found it on Pinterest… But here is the website:

“Squat challenges are all the rage now, and while it certainly is an accomplishment to work your way up to 200, 500, or even 1,000 squats (yikes!), doing the same kind only works certain muscles. Here’s a new challenge for you to try. It involves five different squat variations that you repeat and eventually work up to 200 reps in 30 days.

Here are instructions for the five different variations followed by a 30-day plan to get you all the way to 200. It’s not advised to skip right to day 30 if you want to be able to walk the next day, so follow the plan and adjust it slightly according to your schedule and ability level.

Number 1: Narrow Squat

  • Stand with your feet touching. Hold your hands comfortably in front of your chest to help you stay balanced and bend your knees, lowering your hips deeply, bringing your thighs parallel with the floor if you can. Be sure to keep weight back in your heels.
  • Then rise back up, straightening the legs completely, squeezing the glutes at the top of the movement to get the most out of the exercise.
  • This counts as one rep.

Number 2: Narrow Squat With Back Kick

  • Stand with your feet touching. Hold your hands comfortably in front of your chest or on your hips, and bend your knees, lowering your hips deeply so your thighs are parallel with the floor. Be sure to keep weight back in your heels.
  • Then rise back up, straightening the legs completely, and lift the left leg behind you for a back kick. Lower the foot back to the floor in a narrow squat position.
  • Do another squat, then straighten the leg, do a back kick with the right leg, and step the right foot back to meet the left.
  • This counts as one rep.

Keep reading to see the other three squat variations and the 30-Day Squat Challenge Plan.

Number 3: Basic Squat

  • Stand with your feet shoulder-width distance apart, feet parallel. Hold your hands out in front of you for balance. Bend your knees, lowering your hips deeply, bringing your thighs parallel with the floor if you can, keeping weight back in your heels.
  • Then rise back up, straightening the legs completely, squeezing the glutes at the top of the movement to get the most out of the exercise.
  • This counts as one rep.

Here’s a video demonstrating the basic squat.

Number 4: Basic Squat With Side Leg Lift

  • Stand with your feet shoulder-width distance apart, feet parallel. Hold your hands out in front of you for balance. Bend your knees, lowering your hips deeply so your thighs are parallel with the floor, keeping weight back in your heels.
  • Then rise back up, straightening the legs completely, and lifting the left leg out to the side, squeezing the outer glute.
  • As you step the foot back into shoulder-width distance position, squat down again. Then stand up and do a side leg lift on the right side. Lower the leg back to the starting position.
  • This counts as one rep.

Number 5: Sumo Squat

  • Stand with your feet wide, toes pointing out. Hold your hands comfortably in front of your chest to help you stay balanced and bend your knees, lowering your hips deeply so your thighs are parallel with the floor. Make sure to keep weight back in your heels
  • Then rise back up, straightening the legs completely, squeezing the glutes at the top of the movement to get the most out of the exercise.
  • This counts as one rep.

The Plan
Unlike other squat challenges, this involves five different variations to not only sculpt your legs and booty more effectively, but also to beat boredom and prevent overuse injuries. This plan incorporates rest days, so while you can hold off on squats that day, you can (and should) still do other workouts to target your non-squatting muscles.”

Day 1 6 reps of each 30
Day 2 10 reps of each 50
Day 3 6 reps of each, repeat 2x 60
Day 4 Rest 0
Day 5 5 reps of each, repeat 3x 75
Day 6 10 reps of each 50
Day 7 8 reps of each, repeat 2x 80
Day 8 Rest 0
Day 9 9 reps of each, repeat 2x 90
Day 10 6 reps of each, repeat 2x 60
Day 11 5 reps of each, repeat 4x 100
Day 12 Rest 0
Day 13 7 reps of each, repeat 3x 105
Day 14 6 reps of each, repeat 2x 60
Day 15 5 reps of each, repeat 5x 125
Day 16 Rest 0
Day 17 9 reps of each, repeat 3x 135
Day 18 5 reps of each, repeat 3x 75
Day 19 7 reps of each, repeat 4x 140
Day 20 Rest 0
